In 2003 we got our first birman. It was a grown up female neuter named (N)Shan Thai's Elaine. Elaine is born in 1998. She is a real birman queen, and she is the reason our family got so attached to birmans in the first place.

Elaine is very special to us. She is intensly kind and loving, and we love her dearly! And even if she doesn't fit the standard a 100% - To us - she is the most beautiful cat ever!

Unfortunately, Elaine doesn't like to have cat friends. After Ariel moved in, it became clear Elaine wasn't happy anymore. My mother was happy to take Elaine in, and now she is living a quiet, comfortable life with human friends wich are all hers. We get to see her every time we go to visit, and sometimes she even comes here to visit.
